Labor & Industry Museum - Belleville, Illinois History

In 1902, Solomon Mueller and Henry Lengfelder purchased Queen City Stove of East St. Louis, and moved it to Belleville. The name, Orbon "Good as Gold", appeared on Belleville-made stoves until 1954.

(1) Ranch Stove, designed to be bolted to a wagon and taken "on the range". Found in Wyoming, and donated by Ruth Mueller Harris in memory of the Mueller family.

(2) 1918 Parlor Stove bears the names Orbon and Lengfelder. Found in a cabin on Chicago Creek, CO. Donated by Bill and Jane Weidmann in memory of the Lengfelder family.

(3) 1905 Parlor Stove found in Georgetown, CO, and "The Top of the Line". Donated by Warren Leopold in memory of his father, Irvin J. Leopold.

(4) Orbon Log Burner or Box Heater found in Missouri. Donated by Walter Seigerist.
